Title: JavaFX Now and Beyond, Desktop to Mobile
Abstract:
The JavaFX toolkit offers a rich set of visually appealing UI controls, a convenient property binding mechanism for event handling, and a powerful tool for GUI layout and design. JavaFX has been recently unbundled from the JDK and open-sourced. The popularity of JavaFX is steadily increasing. The first part of this session discusses a Java desktop application that applies JavaFX property binding strategies to keep model data and UI controls in sync. The second part of the session is a mobile version of the same application using JavaFX for the UI and a framework to store data in the cloud with remote binding.
